12mm Metal Brush DC Motor with Gearbox – 19mm Length, Ultra-Compact, High Torque

The M12-19-MB-G series is a 12mm diameter metal brush DC motor integrated with a miniature planetary gearbox, featuring a motor body length of just 19mm (plus gearbox). This ultra-compact integrated gear motor solution brings high torque output to applications where space is extremely limited. Despite its miniature size, the motor delivers useful torque outputs up to 0.5 Nm when paired with appropriate gear ratios.

The precision planetary gearbox is available with metal or plastic gears depending on torque and cost requirements. Available in 1, 2, or 3 stages, gear ratios range from 4:1 to 1,000:1, allowing designers to optimize for either output speed or output torque. Maximum output torque reaches 0.5 Nm – sufficient for direct actuation of small mechanisms such as smart locks, micro pumps, and miniature robot joints. The compact gearbox design adds only 11–26mm to the overall length.

The metal brush commutation system provides a proven, cost-effective solution for intermittent duty cycles. Multiple voltage variants (3V, 6V, and 12V) allow integration into battery-operated devices and low-voltage control systems. The motor’s low current consumption makes it ideal for portable and wearable applications where battery life is critical.

The motor features a precision-drawn steel housing with a lightweight design under 20 grams (including gearbox), making it ideal for handheld and wearable applications where weight is critical. The commutator is precisely ground for smooth brush interaction, reducing sparking and extending brush life. Sintered bronze bearings provide low friction and quiet operation.

OEM customers can specify gear ratio, output shaft diameter (2.0mm, 2.5mm, or 3.0mm), output shaft length, and end configurations including flat or D-cut. Custom lead wire length and connector terminations (Molex PicoBlade, JST ZH, or custom) are supported for volume orders. For electrically noisy environments, optional filtering capacitors can be added across the terminals.

Each motor undergoes 100% final testing for no-load speed, current and mechanical runout. The M12-19-MB-G series is RoHS compliant and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 processes. Custom winding configurations are supported for volume orders. Sample motors are available for engineering evaluation.
