The M19-28 series is a 19mm diameter metal brush DC motor with a compact 28mm body length. This miniature motor platform is designed for applications where space is limited but reliable performance is required at a cost-effective price point. The combination of 19mm diameter and 28mm length provides an excellent power-to-size ratio for consumer electronics, smart home devices, medical equipment, and small actuators.
The M19-28 delivers stall torque up to 12 mNm with no-load speeds ranging from 3,000 to 18,000 RPM depending on winding selection, allowing designers to optimize for either high-speed or high-torque applications. Multiple voltage variants (1.5V to 12V) allow integration into battery-operated portable devices as well as low-voltage control systems. The metal brush commutation system provides reliable electrical contact under normal operating conditions with a proven, cost-effective design.
The motor features a precision-drawn steel housing with a lightweight design under 28 grams, making it ideal for handheld and portable applications where weight is critical. The commutator is precisely ground for smooth brush interaction, reducing sparking and extending brush life. Sintered bronze bearings provide low friction and quiet operation. Dynamic balancing of the rotor assembly minimizes vibration, important for handheld devices where user comfort matters.
OEM customers can specify shaft diameter (2.0mm or 2.5mm), shaft length, and end configurations including flat or D-cut. Custom lead wire length and connector terminations are supported for volume orders. For electrically noisy environments, optional filtering capacitors can be added across the terminals. Gearbox attachments (planetary or spur, as small as 12mm diameter) are available to reduce output speed and increase torque for applications requiring higher torque output.
Each motor undergoes 100% final testing for no-load speed, current and mechanical runout. The M19-28 series is RoHS compliant and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 processes. Custom winding configurations are supported for volume orders. Sample motors are available for engineering evaluation.
