12mm Metal Brush DC Motor – 30mm Length, High Torque, Compact Design
The M12-30 series is a 12mm diameter metal brush DC motor with a standard body length of 30mm. Designed for applications where space is limited but reliable performance is required, this miniature motor delivers a balance of speed, torque and efficiency. The metal brush commutation system offers a proven, cost-effective solution for intermittent duty cycles and moderate volume production.
Despite its compact 12×30mm envelope, the motor achieves stall torque up to 8 mNm with no-load speeds ranging from 8,000 to 18,000 RPM depending on the chosen winding. The metal brush structure provides consistent electrical contact under normal operating conditions. Multiple voltage variants (3V to 24V) allow integration into battery-operated devices as well as industrial control systems.
OEM customers can specify shaft diameter (standard 2.0mm or 2.3mm), shaft length and flat or cross-hole machining. Gearbox attachments (planetary or spur) are available to reduce output speed and increase torque. For electrically noisy environments, optional filtering capacitors can be added across the terminals.
Each motor undergoes 100% final testing for no-load speed, current and mechanical runout. The M12-30 series is RoHS compliant and manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 processes. Custom winding configurations are supported for volume orders.
