32mm Brushless DC Motor with Gearbox – 64mm Length, High Torque, Long Life
The M32-64-BLDC-G series is a 32mm diameter brushless DC motor integrated with a precision planetary gearbox, with a combined motor body length of 64mm (plus gearbox). This integrated gear motor solution delivers the high efficiency and long life of brushless technology combined with the torque multiplication of a planetary gearbox. The result is a compact, powerful, and maintenance-free drive solution for applications ranging from medical devices to industrial robotics.
Unlike traditional metal brush DC motors, the brushless design eliminates mechanical commutation, removing the primary wear component. This results in typical operational life of 10,000+ hours – five times longer than equivalent brushed motors. The absence of brushes also eliminates arcing, reducing electrical noise and making the motor suitable for sensitive electronic environments. Motor efficiency reaches 85%, significantly extending battery life in portable applications.
The precision planetary gearbox is manufactured with hardened metal gears for durability and low backlash. Available in 1, 2, or 3 stages, gear ratios range from 3:1 to 100:1, allowing designers to optimize for either high output speed or high output torque. Maximum output torque reaches 3.0 Nm, sufficient for direct drive of many mechanisms without additional gearing. The gearbox output shaft is supported by ball bearings for high radial and axial load capacity.
Three integrated hall effect sensors provide commutation feedback for electronic speed controllers (ESC) and allow precise speed control, position holding, and direction changes. For applications requiring position feedback, an optional magnetic or optical encoder (up to 1,024 PPR) can be added to the motor rear shaft. The motor is compatible with standard 3-phase BLDC controllers using trapezoidal or sinusoidal commutation.
The 64mm motor body provides ample surface area for heat dissipation. Ball bearings on both ends of the motor and on the gearbox output shaft ensure low friction and long service life even under continuous duty. The housing can be specified with IP54 protection (dust-protected and water-resistant) for outdoor or wash-down environments. Insulation is Class F (155°C) as standard.
OEM customers can specify gear ratio, output shaft diameter (6mm, 8mm, 10mm), output shaft length, and end configurations including flat, keyway, or D-cut. Custom lead wire length, connector terminations (Molex, JST, AMP, Deutsch), and hall sensor wiring configurations are supported. Encoder integration, brake options, and special winding voltages are available for volume orders.
Each M32-64-BLDC-G motor undergoes 100% final inspection including no-load speed, no-load current, hall sensor functionality, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and vibration testing. Production follows ISO 9001:2015 quality management processes. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation is available. Sample motors with matched electronic speed controllers are available for engineering evaluation.
